I understand the stress of starting a new journey. As an overthinker, procrastinator and my biggest critic - I’m aware that most of my struggles are a result of road blocks I create myself. You do not have to do it alone.
My Story
Almost ten years ago, I did not feel confident with my body or the person was. During this time, I was a runway model, and I could not perform my best because I would let my insecurities take over. I decided to start a self-love journey with the intention to love every aspect of myself. I needed the TLC from top to bottom and inside out.
While on my self-love journey, I also started taking better care of my body (especially being an exercise science major). I paid close attention to the effects of exercise and healthy balanced meals. I began with small improvements in my diet such as plant-based meals, eliminating dairy, and reducing red meat. Then eventually eliminating meat consumption and now seven years strong being plant-based.
When working on the physical, internal work is inevitable. Within months, I felt an internal shift that was almost unexplainable. I am here to tell you - actively connecting your mind and body is one of the best unfathomable experiences. You feel like you found the person who has been hiding for years. I was able to get to the root of who I am and improve aspects of myself from the inside out.
That is how you get that "glow" people talk about. It is not the face mask and manicures (even though those are great too) - but the adversities and emotional work you strive through - even if that means talking to a therapist.
So if you are looking for an illuminating glow that turns heads, you must do the internal work and let it shine through you.
Since starting my Wellness brand Mindfully Mo in 2020, I encountered many unexpected pivots. I learned how much daily practice mindfulness requires and how to apply it to other areas of my life. I was building a wellness brand and had to slow down and listen to my own advice. I developed mindful habits in all aspects of my life. Whether it's food, a new business opportunity, or maintaining healthy relationships - platonic, intimate, and family.
